Hey just picked one of these up and was wondering if anyone had one. My wife and I are going on an overseas trip soon and were originally thinking of grabbing a cheap netbook that we could take with us. After looking at what you get for $300, we decided to look at what we could get for $400. WOW, what a huge difference! Granted, it's a little larger than a netbook, but the capabilities are so much greater!

I haven't opened it yet and from what I understand, it's a very fast-selling notebook. Figured I would see what you guys thought of it!

Specs copy/pasted from BB's website (editing out crap):

    •Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor B940 Features a 1333MHz system bus and 2.0GHz processor speed.
    •4GB DDR3 memory expandable to 8GB.
    •Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive
    •15.6" WXGA LED-backlit high-definition widescreen display With 1366 x 768
•500GB Serial ATA hard drive (5400 rpm) For fast read/write times (left this in for the LOLs).
•Intel® HD 3000 graphics HDMI output.
    •Built-in 0.3MP webcam
    •6-in-1 media reader
    •4 high-speed USB 2.0 ports
    •Built-in wireless LAN (802.11b/g/n)
    •Built-in 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN
•Weighs 5.2 lbs. and measures just 1.3" thin
•Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64-bit operating system preinstalled

From what I understand the Pentium B940 is a low end Sandy Bridge CPU which still comes with HD 3000 on die. The B940 will still blow away any netbook CPU's in terms of performance but the HD 3000 GPU maybe a bit slower than the HD 6310 found on the AMD E-350. Overall I say this is a good buy all considering that it comes with 4GB ram, 500GB and DVD writer plus you have 30 days return from BestBuy and did not have to play the waiting game like ordering straight from Lenovo.

If you do not need the power from a Core i CPU, USB 3.0 and discrete graphics card the Z570 is a great buy consideration it comes with eSATA/USB combo, 2 x 2W speakers and same multimedia control panel found on the higher end Y570's (volume control, fan control and Cinema Pro), not to mention Lenovo's known for great keyboards and touchpads on notebooks.

Thanks! Just what I was hoping to hear :). If you check my sig, you'll see that the wife and I both have gaming notebooks, so this is just for "light" duty - travel mainly...

A great deal. Officedepot sell a Lenovo G570 with identical specs for $500.
