HI ALL
I GOT IBM LENOVO T60 TYPE 1951 1 GIG RAM AND 80 GIG ATA HDD
IWANT TO UPGRADE IT
TO 160 HDD IS THE Hitachi Travelstar 5K160 160GB 2.5" PATA Internal Hard Disk Drive
IS IT OK TO USE THE HITACHI 5K 160GB?
TNX FOR HELP
-
I'm sure your T60 uses the SATA interface. You would need to get the Travelstar 5K160 on SATA interface, NOT PATA. PATA is used on older Thinkpads such as the T4x series and older. T60 series use only SATA drives.

Should be able to, unless there is a bios limit to the capacity of HD (don't think it is an issue with SATA equipped Thinkpad models).
Please don't type in all caps, in interweb lingo it equates to shouting/yelling. Also, proper grammar and spelling helps as well. -
Sorry And Thanks 4 Help:d

Yes, any 320GB (well actually any SATA drive as long as it is 2.5" x 1/8H, there are 12.5 mm 500GB drives but those cannot actually fit inside your Thinkpad.
May I dare to recommend you a drive?
Go for the newest Hitachi 5K320 series or the Seagate 5400.5 series. I'd go first Hitachi (either 5400 RPM 5K320 or 7200RPM 7K320), then Seagate, third Western Digital.
Good luck -
