Is there any chance of Lenovo making a notebook bigger than 12" with an IPS screen? I wouldn't mind a 15" with IPS that gets 15+ hours battery life...

If they see a demand for it, but seeing as DC2 prices were ridiculous, I highly doubt it.

Pretty sure elitebook workstations have a IPS option in 14" and 15" (The new xx60W models)

The price of the IPS option are expensive, I doubt HP sell alot of Laptop with that option. I wonder if the LG's e-IPS would make the screen cheaper for the larger size laptops.

While they may not sell a lot, they're the only game in town. So any artist, or professional who has to have color accuracy will have one option to go to (at least if they aren't looking at a Mac). In the Wintel world, HP wins by default.

I thought the Dell Precision workstation notebooks offered some fancy screens. They aren't IPS?

^^^ No. The Dell Precision M6500 has "premium" option for RGBLED. Quite nice.

None of the Mac laptops are IPS either. They just have much better TN displays than the garbage on cheap PC laptops.

I think that new M4600 is said to have the IPS, not M6600 (yet)

Yes, I didn't word that well. I was more trying to separate Mac from Wintel, but I can see how it could be confusing.

Is it possible Lenovo is offering the IPS on the X220 because it's not much more expensive to make with the X220T needing IPS panels? Larger scale thing ya know...

The 15.6" Dell Precision m4600 FHD w/ IPS can be found here. The Dell Precision m6600 FHD will not have IPS, but rather multitouch w/ FHD and can be found here.
