I just noticed IMD-0 as one of the devices under hard disks in the device manager. Does anybody know what this is? I'm thinking it has something to do with turbo memory. I checked properties of the device and it says "NVCACHE" and the size is about 513mb

thats your ready drive memory, yes it is a part of turbo memory
 -

why is it only showing 513mb? turbo memory is 1gb
 -

Could anybody follow up on this? Mine's ~512MB too; Disk Management and the Disk Defragmenter confirms this.
 -

half of it is available for ready boost and the other half is for ready drive.
 -

How do I change this setting? If I have 2GB of system RAM, where should I allocate it more towards (ReadyDrive seems to be the choice for me)?
 -
It's not known if you can actually change the setting. I think the Turbo Memory device is hardware partitioned into two 512MB pieces.
Some people think that by disabling ReadyBoost on the Turbo Memory, then somehow the other partition can be used for ReadyDrive. -

me too..
I got this new disk IMD-0 with only 514 mb
it wasn't in my computer before
Is this a disk to let the them spy, however they are -

It's your Intel Turbo Memory.

IMD-0...what is it?
