Does anyone here knows IBM's warranty for Thinkpad LCD monitor, especially about bright/dark spot? I am about to buy a IBM Thinkpad but I heard a rumor said that IBM will not fix or replace a LCD monitor if it has less than three bright/dark spots. Is it true? Even one bright/dark spot is annoying enough.

If you buy it from IBM directly, you have a 30 day to return any thinkpad no questions asked; so if there are bad pixels you can just return it. If you buy it from someone else or if your 30 days expires, then the IBM warranty is like 9 pixels before replacement.
    Here are the details.
