Who here has purchased an IBM laptop to have it show up as a month later in estimated shipping time, and also stated as backordered? If you were in this list, did it ever change to all of a sudden shipped one day much sooner, or was it pretty close to the est ship date?

That's how I felt too (but pre-ordered anyways). I just got back from office depot, and they had a 1.7ghz z60t out on display, so some product is obviously shipping to some degree...

Yeah I ordered a z60m on October 30, the 80 GB titanium cover model, upgraded to 1 GB RAM...my est. ship date has been Dec 9th since that day, and I called to ask about whether that is accurate and that is about when it should be shipped. Bummer, but good things come to those who wait. haha.

I bought mine from my pc mall vendor, and they are constantly changing the ship dates. They were promised to have the z60t in by yesterday, but now pushed it back again to the 28th (which happens to be the day the Lenovo webiste "sale" ends). Hopefully I get it by then. I'd buy it from the Lenovo website, but they said probably 4-8 weeks before its actually in stock and shipped from them. Although, 1999 is very tempting for the top of the line model.
