You could try the Intel mini N wireless card. It can do N with only two antennas like your Z has. You'll need a bracket like this to hold the card in place and to use the Zender BIOS mod because ThinkPads like whiteless wireless cards in the BIOS, meaning it won't boot without it.

I'd ask, why would you want to make more work for yourself?

If you want a 3-antenna card, you could go with the Intel 4965AGN, which is the closest to the production era of the Z61t, or go with the Intel 5300, one generation later.

Upgrading to a three-antenna configuration is a pain, as ZaZ said; the antennas are routed inside the display housing. However, you can run the 4965 or the 5300 on a two-antenna config, you just won't get the third antenna for added diversity.

One note: The 4965 came in two flavors, the AG, and the AGN. You want the AGN; the AG is a stripped version that does not have wireless-N, even though it can utilize three antennas.
