Is the Z60m too big for travel? I am a college student and needs a notebook that I can take to class with me. I also play a few games. Next year I will also be studying abroad and need something that is light enough to endure long trips.

I think so, I'd much prefer the 14" model.

I wouldn't like travelling with it much, it really is quite bulky and heavy for a 15.4" screen monitor and although I prefer it to the Z60t as a widescreen option, I wouldn't want to lug it on long trips.

Checkout the T43 or Z60t for a more easily portable notebook -- I prefer the T43 to be honest. Next week there may be something new to look at as an option.

It comes down to personal preference. I do not mind lugging around an 8lbs computer but many people do. I found with the right case it is very easy.
