A buddy of mine has this laptop. So far it looks like it will take 200 pin DDR2100 SO-DIMM. Is that right?

Also does this laptop support dual chan? It looks like the desktop version does, but for some reason I doubt this one is dual chan. The mobo chipset is I845D and it has a Celeron CPU in it.

If this laptop will work faster with some PC2700 or PC 3200 I will give it a try. I might go 256x256 or one stick of 512. It just depends on if the laptop is dual channel or not.

If it turns out that faster ram doesnt matter and dual chan isnt workable on this laptop, Ill go 512x128... the 128 stick that is currently in there.

Please get back to me soon!!!

    Thanks!

It does not support dual channel. The faster memory should work, but at PC2100 speend.
