Hi, I have three year old IBM R40, who's AC Jack went bad, now to provide the laptop power I bought a used docking station which works. But my question is that is there a way to use the Thinkpad keyboard/trackpoint with the dock station. Because the dockstation enables the touchpad, but not the keyboard or trackpoint.

Hoping someone can provide me help. I am thinking about just selling the system now and keeping a look out for a new one, but am not 100% sure.

    Thank you!

I'd be willing to bet you need a driver. Plug in some part numbers on IBM's web site to see if you can get some drivers.
