    IBM ThinkPad T50?

    Any idea when the next high-end ThinkPad is coming and what will be in it? I'm ready to fork down money for my next ThinkPad (I've had several). I daydream about a T50 widescreen. Widescreen is the main thing ThinkPad is lacking.

    I'm a developer and really need that extra real estate on the sides for toolboxes, etc. Other laptop manufacturers have gone (or are going) to widescreen. Where is IBM in the trend?

    1. Likely late fall or next Feb. before we see a T50, they refresh every six months.

    2. IBM will be announcing a new member to the ThinkPad family in the next month or two. Not a T50 or R60 or X50 or G50 but something our eyes have not seen or ears have heard of before. It might be widescreen it might not. It could be a desktop replacment style notebook it could not be. It could be a Tablet PC, or it could not be. All we know is that there's something coming.
