ThinkPads have been made in China for quite some time. It matters more what standard they are built to rather than where and ThinkPads are built to a high standard. If you want a well built laptop with a great keyboard, ThinkPads are it.

Can I Understand from your Answer that no problem from being made in China or i need to check something before buy it -
He's saying that being made in China isn't a problem at all - it's the quality itself that's important, not where it's made. And, ThinkPads are VERY high quality.
(This post typed on a "Made in China" ThinkPad) -
I run sun application server smoothly with 1Gb Ram. costed 880 Mb in total ( plus msn, browser, other ibm items)

Most notebooks are made in Asia. I have no problem with Chinese ThinkPads. They are engineered to a hight standard.

one more question is All R series are 1m cache?
and is this will be lettel performance than 2m cache as i compare this with fujitsu amilo
v2020 2m cache?which one will be faster -
The R series uses both the Celeron and Pentium M.
The Celeron M comes in both 512K (old) and 1M (new) varieties.
The Pentium M comes in both 1M (old) and 2M (new) varieties.
Most likely, a new R series will have either a new Celeron M or a new Pentium M. So, some WILL have 2M cache. -
get R52 instead of R52/50 if you want faster, with 750/760 processor
