    Hey guys-

Had a general question. I'm going back to school and I've been shopping around for a notebook and I've narrowed it down to the M35-S456 (1.7 ghz, 512 mb, 80 gig, 15.4 xbrite, dvdrw) and the IBM T42p (1.7 ghz, 512 mb, 80 gig, 14.1 svga+, dvdrw). These computers are both similarly equiped and are both priced at 2k (The college i go to offers special ibm pricing. Please let me know what you guys think, any input would be greatly appreciated.[ :)]

Definitly go with the IBM iff they have the same specs and price, or even if the IBM is a little more expensive. IBM is the best quality brand, and the T42 is probably their best system. Thats just my opinon though.

Hey thanks for the input. I think I'm gonna go with big blue, however I only had one other question (esp for those who own or have used on), and thats because i cant actually go to a store and try it out, but is the sxga+ resolutoin too much for a 14.1' display? Any input would be greatly valued.
