I wonder if someone could help me. I have an IBM Thinkpad T41 that crashes (often lock-up sometimes BSOD) on a pretty consistent basis.. This especially happens when the machine is left alone (i.e. I am not using the machine). I recently did a test where I consistently leave the machine listening to an IP radio station and hence the machine never 'rests'. In this situation the machine has not crashed for 3 days now.. (it usually crashes every 30 minutes or so without this). I have already turned off the power mgmt. to 'Never' in the Thinkpad Configuration, Power Mgmt. section however this does not seem to help when not listening to the radio station. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated regarding what may be causing the crashes..

Vatche

It could honestly just be a Windows SP2 problem. Did you slipstream install SP2, or did you use Windows update?
Slipstreaming is the best way to go...
This is just off the top of my head... other things such as trojans/viruses, overheating, or bad Windows installation could also be causing it.
