You need to provide more information, it could be several things, like do you hear the hard drive try to spin up at all when trying to boot or do any power lights come on on the laptop?

    Ok sorry,

I hit the power button, then the moon+the battery indicator light up, then the pannel with Z on it lights up for a second, The cd drive light comes on looking for info the fan starts working and I can hear spinning, but only the Z light stays on. Nothing boots up.

This is a problem that has happened to me before on a few of my Thinkpads.
The machine is stuck in hibernation/sleep mode, thats why your seeign the moon led on.

what I did to "solve" this issue was not use my laptop for a day, leaving the battery out of the laptop. Then when i cam eback the next day everything was fine and dandy.

Thank you for your help. The moon+battery indicator only flashes on for a moment. then only the power (Z) thing stays on.
