So, my computer (T61) arrived in wonderful condition, got 'er up and running, loved it. A few dead pixels, but that's par for the course, and they're black-dead not green-dead like my other computer. Anyway, I found that the "v" key on my computer was intermittently responsive. So I called IBM support. There was no haggling, no equivocating, no "Oh yeah, that can be a problem. It's not a big deal." No "Oh, well it will get better." No "Well, it works occasionally, so I can't do anything about it." (The response, of course, to which would then be a BofH style rubber ball-peen hammerage.) The reply was simply "Of course, Mr. [Jones]. Let me make sure we have some keyboards in stock...Okay, Mr. [Jones], thank you for bearing with me. We'll get a new keyboard shipped to you in the next three days." They don't even want the old keyboard! Any I may get a slightly better keyboard (NMB as opposed to a ALPS).
So, the moral of this story, is, as long as Lenovo continues to use IBM support, then I will continue buying Lenovo. As the old saying goes "No-one ever got fired for buying from IBM."

IBM service is great. They sent me 3 new power adapters. The first two were 90W but I wanted a 65W. All were shipped with next-day service.
