I'd like to get a IBM R61 for school however, I'm a bit concerned about the shipping and wait times. I noticed when I went to customize my notebook that shipping was within est. 2-3 weeks; I'm assuming this is because it takes that long to build. Is this normal? Has anybody who bought an IBM/Lenovo (and had it shipped to Canada) received theirs at a faster time? I need it ASAP for my college summer semester.

    I ordered February 29. The T61P arrived March 19.

Not sure what delivery times are like now.

If you are in a major hurry and don't mind paying extra, cdw.ca has many Lenovo models in stock.
