I would like to upgrade the memory in my A31 - 2652. IBM's spec shows 1024mb to be the maximum supported memory. Several retailers are selling 1 gig of memory and recommending installing 2. Will this notebook operate on 2 gigs despite IBMs spec refering to a 1gb max?

Probably the only way to find out is try it unless you've seen it done elsewhere. My guess would be no.
