The hard drive on my T43p crapped out last month, so I filled out the service request form online less than 15 minutes ago. And 5 minutes later.......IBM called me!! Simply confirmed my issue and address. And decided to send me a replacement in less than 2 minutes of conversation. WOW what a service! :notworthy: It not that I didn't know their services are superb than any other companies on this planet, but 4 years after they sold their PC division to Lenovo things only get even better!

As a matter of fact I miss my T42p, I regret selling it, maybe I could get a used one at eBay but nothing beats having a new machine.

I miss my T42 sometimes too. My R60 is arguably a better machine. It obviously offers better performance and I think it's better shape with the same usage as my T42, but my T42 had the IPS, which just cannot be beat.

Glad to hear everything worked out. I've always gotten great service from IBM/Lenovo. Once my keyboard stopped working on T41. I called in the afternoon, like 3ish. The replacement was at my door at 9AM the next day.

That's a great deal. Welcome to the ThinkPad Tablet club  .

The T4x is a great line as well. I loved my T40 so much that I kept it 5 years. I only had to make two service calls during that time (DVD/CD-RW stopped reading DVDs; and the infamous GPU soldering issue), both times they answered the phone quickly and promptly arranged a drive/mobo replacement.
