    Hi,

    I'm stuck between the 15.4" T61 and the 15.4" T500.
    I also looked at the HP dv5t and T400?

    The price difference is only about $80.
    I am getting the base models, but with the T500, I will probably upgrade the memory through Lenovo.
    Can somone please help me in deciding one vs. the other?
    Is it true that the T61 has a lot of wireless, motherboard, and hardware problems?

    are you considering dedicated graphics for the t500? cus that would be the only reason to get it (would make it more expensive but bigger screen)

    the keys on the dv5t are weird, i suggest you go to like best buy to look at it (and at a thinkpad too); the dv5t looks really cool and sheik if thats what youre into

    compare and see which model you like more; the best reasons to get the t400 are price, LED, and portability

    DDR3 memory is expensive so yea its a good idea to upgrade it now.

    also the dv5t gets hot and has an Nvidia GPU, so theres a small risk it might be affected by the fiasco (not really?)
