The Lenovo notebooks here in Manila are too damn expensive,. Core Duo notebooks are over USD$3000.

Is there a way to order online and have it delivered to my country? All internet retailers seem to have this contract with Lenovo that don't allow them to sell internationally.

I have got friends in Hong Kong., would any body know if its cheap over there?

My final option is to order online, have it delivered to my friend's house in California. Would you know if the website would accept an international Visa card?

Make your 'final option' your first. Have your friend use his credit card and address (s/he's probably already registered and verified) to buy your stuff. S/he buys, gets and forwards, and then you pay. Sweet.

    No, it wouldn't.
Have your friend buy it for you.

It's very easy to wire money between banks internationally. You could wire the money to your friend's account if she/he needs it to buy the notebook.

You can use a foreign-issued American Express card.

But laptops are cheaper in Hong Kong China than in the US. Or in Korea.

I mean on the street not on the lenovo web.
Electronics is much more expensive in the US and lags behind.
You can buy cameras, laptops, HD tv's for a fraction of the cost.
And of course, they get products earlier too.
HDtv was in Asia for years before here.
Just in Seoul, there are already 6-million TV-phones in service, more than in all of north america (and their cells even work in the subway underground).
    You get the idea.

lol... i meant all the shops up in kowloon or maybe victoria.

stuff sold by the street vendors tends to be knock-offs... dunno of any TP knock-offs, but there could be stolen ones i suppose haha

Those malaysian and indonesian prices seem high... but i remember that wasn't unusual.
You guys need to go on as shopping spree in hong kong hehe
