This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Go to the main education page. Under the "Education Employee Purchase Program" go to the second drop-down menu. Click on "Students & Alumni". You don't need proof that you are a student (I specifically asked a sales rep on the phone.). It is based on the honor system.

    You can try. In the worst case scenario, you won't even qualify to get an account from that site.

    You should be able to. I ordered my T61 with a discount of over 30% through my specific higher education state.
