    wanna know the secret? reformat using the factory partition... then uncheck all the bloatware you don't want installed, voila! 3 weeks and not 1 BSOD yet.... lovely.... one question though... does the factory install automatically reformat the hard drive for you? or just reinstall the OS and thats it?

    It wipes everything off of your main partition and uses an image from a separate hidden partition to factory install your system.

    i was wondering if it actually reformats the hard drive before installing windows

    wait, that was stupid. now that i think about it, there is no way that i can reformat without having to delete the restore partition either... hmm.... doesn't that mean that the hard drive will never be at 100% performance? since a reformat cleans out the hard drive?

    lol, you're like saying that "format C:" is the sollution for BSODs

    .. cause some of us search, find, and solve the problem that causes BSOD

    I haven't seen BSOD since .. I don't remember when.
