    I think the hotkey program for T61 has problem

    If I install the hotkey program. I will always have soundmax problems and the touchpoint won't work sometimes also. So sad...

    Why did you have to reinstall the hotkey utility? Are you performing a clean install?

    yes, I did clean install. so you mean I don't install the hotkey? (it's a garbage?) but then I cannot use the fn key on the keyboard.

    xp pro. everything is working. except hotkey problem. last time I remove the hotkey program. it worked ok. today I try to install hotkey again. it failed again...

    Use the guide in my signature. There's a certain procedure when it comes to a Clean Install on a T61.

    there are the only 2 things that I didn't install. and I use xp wireless software instead of thinkpad. I think I did pretty much everything you posted.

    I restalled kb888111. it seems all working now. thanks for your remind. I think you can put the little notes to your clean install post. So I think the trick is that if you install the audio drive before hotkey. you have to reinstall kb888111. thanks again for your installation guide.
