Send it in and eat the cost of repair for what is considered accidental damage. There really isn't any way you can fix this yourself and not void the remainder of your warranty.

Yeah, if your computer still works, I say try to remove your keyboard to clean it before wasting money and sending your T60p off. In fact, a spillproof keyboard is one of the Thinkpad's features.

Well by the way it sounds its just the keyboard that sticks, if the tea didn't get inside the electronics then it should be easy enough just to pop out the keyboard and clean it somehow. I've heard of people throwing keyboards into the dish washer to clean them. I haven't done it myself but I'm thinking about trying it since my desktop keyboard needs it...

Too many WoW and DoD marathons ;)

take the palm rest off, 4 screws on the back. Then make sure to get one more screw on the back that has a keyboard logo next to it. Then it juist pops off. Be sure to unplug its connector on the motherboard.
Dishwasher? Thats pushing the spill proof feature i think :| Id think about a q tip with warm water

A dishwasher does get a bit hot but you're gonna need to get it wet one way or another. You can try running it under a sink with warm water if you're scared of melting it I guess :)

A q-tip might be a bit big for getting between the keys but its still a good idea to try to scrub under them.

I guess I'll throw my keyboard in the dishwasher and see how things turn out.

It is enough if you hold your keyboard (after removing it of course) under the tap. I would guess that 30-40 seconds under 30-50 degrees Cel is enough. We have done so here, but it was with a T43-keyboard (someone fed the computer with Coca-Cola!), and it worked fine.
