    I just purchased a T61 for $883.48 before tax. Here's my configuration:

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz 800MHz 2MBL2)
    Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic
    14.1 WXGA TFT
    Intel GMA X3100 GM965
    1 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz
    80GB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm
CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo 24X/24X/24X/8X Max, Ultrabay Slim
PC Card Slot & Media Card Slot
    Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG
    Integrated Bluetooth PAN
    6 cell Li-Ion Battery

I finally get to replace my bulky 4 year Inspiron 5100. :D

    Nice!
You're gonna get crazy battery life with the X3100, something like 5 hours I wanna say with a dimmer screen.
    Sweet price too.

Did you use the e-coupon? I made a T61 with the same specs as you and got it down to about $800. This is the coupon: USPDECSAVINGS

You should call in and cancel, then reorder with that.

    Good luck! :)

I think it was the cheapest back during the labor day sale....i randomly configure a thinkpad to my same settings since i have a 90 day price protection through AMEX...the prices's haven't even come close to what i got it for back then... :) so no need for the price protection
