    Ok, not sure what happened.
Not even sure what you would call them.
By default on the task bar within Windows 7 i had the Lenovo battery gauge
also the toolkit icon and there was what i felt was a useful Lenovo wifi signal bars utility.
Some-how that disappeared, I went ahead and reinstalled the Lenovo connections, yet that was not it, well that did have this little worthless icon.

Can anyone tell me what application this was from Lenovo

It truly sux getting old b4 your time

    btw: T400

I found a pix online, what application provided this, i also see i took a few Lenovo updates that may have removed it?

It's called "Lenovo Access Connections" of which I seem to have version 5.50. You can make it appear and disappear by right clicking the task bar and choosing 'Access Connections' from the toolbars menu, but if it has vanished from there completely, open the program from the control panel, switch to 'basic view' and under options make sure "Show Access Connections Gauge in task bar" is checked.

(if this is the what you meant when you reinstalled 'Lenovo connections' you've got it already)

    Scrybe,
First off, Welcome to the forum.
Yes i did re-install Lenovo Access Connections, yet that did not place any of the icons within the programs folder nor in the control panel.
So i went into the C: folder of programs and found the directory it created.
I can from that point get access connections started, yet without that signal bar on the task bar.
I plan to uninstall and give it a fresh install.

I am not sure if one of the recent Lenovo auto updates killed it or not?
I did see it d-load the newer intel drivers as well.

    edit:
Figured it out, first did a system restore prior to yesterdays Lenovo updates and it was back, therefore reversed that system restore, and uninstalled the current Lenovo Access Connections 5.50 and then reinstalled it.
It's back, not sure if the new intel wifi 13.0xx drivers did it or what since there had been several Lenovo updates applied yesterday as well.

    All is good again.
Thank you Scrybe, nice helping out first post ;)

Did you try right clicking on Task Bar > Properties > Notification Area?
There are check boxes to show/hide icons.

    I did and not there.
I think one of the many updates yesterday broke it, reinstalled and all is well again.
