That they removed the Blu Ray option (and Wimax, from what I can see) from most Thinkpads except the W700. Think it means anything? I'm guessing demand was too low. It seems with Lenovo they offer some feature and then 3 weeks later remove it for some reason. Like the T400 WXGA+ LED screen, or the Flexview screen on the T60.
-
Could be just the opposite. Sometimes when they have more demand for options than supply Lenovo will take them off the site. Who knows....
-
Either way, probably doesn't mean too much. The W700 is probably Lenovo's lowest-volume Thinkpad sold. -
-
The blue ray and WXGA+ LED for the t400 yes I agree that it could hurt sales, but then again there are people like me that ordered a t400 with the CCFL anyways. WIMAX isnt wide spread so it probably wasnt a high seller, blueray is great and all but super expensive for (in my mind slight increase in visual) the improvement. The exact reason why the removed these options is beyond us (minus the t400 screen option).

no led is a deal breaker as this brings so many advantages.
-
I have to disagree. While given the option its a no brainer, a deal breaker it is not. But then again this is purely opinionated.
-
Personally I'm highly annoyed they removed the LED screen for the x200s several weeks back refuse to give any info on "IF" (nonsense) and when it will be offered again.
What's the point of buying X200s over the X200 if you can't have the better screen? .5 lb is not worth paying $150 more (on cpp, anyway) when you get a weaker processor to boot.
I'm bitter because I want the x200s but can't wait anymore. My wife is sick of sharing her T500 with me. I guess the upside is getting a great deal on the X200--only $704 on cpp now! -
This is really ridiculous.
I just noticed on the Lenovo website
