It was ordered as R61 7755CTO T5470, but it come as R61i, and there is no "IBM" logo on it.

I heard that if you order direct form Lenovo as retail, it would be labeled "IBM" logo. I wonder is it ture?

My thinkpad that I got in early September still had the IBM logo on the palmrest and the back of the screen.

There were no two Screws that came with the Notebook & others accessories. It looks like missing one screw in the bottom. :(

I can't figure out the main difference between the "R" and "T" series?

The R has the top cover roll cage on the 14", but not the 15.4"

I was informed by several authorised retailers that new production chassis will only bear the "ThinkPad" label, without the IBM logo.

This is the case as Lenovo has bought over the Desktop and Notebook divisions from IBM. Since these divisions now belong to Lenovo, the IBM logo will no longer show on new production batches of chassis.

Depending on the inventory of previous production chassis still left over, you may see ThinkPads with the IBM logo from time to time. It will take awhile before these older production batches are all used up in the assembly line.

Other then the above, there is no difference in quality. Not to be unduly worried.

Honestly, I don't think that is correct...a lot of these authorized resellers just wing it when asked questions they do not know the answer to....the fact is that we dont have old chasis...and that ibm allowed lenovo to badge thinkpads with ibm logos until 01/08, in which time, they will have to revert back to lenovo logos
