    $ 1279.60 4weeks shipping though... fml

    at the lenovo store in toronto it was going for $1749 before tax and it had alot of extras i didnt need and the processor was a P8400 and the hard drive was 120gb

    i think i got a good deal

    That's a fair price by Lenovo US standards, but seems to be a very good deal in Canada. Congratulations, and hope you get it soon!

    actually in canada u guys are pretty lucky.

    in other country like the Australia, similar machine you mentioned, can go for around AU$3000... after discount..

    Not really Thinkpad-related, but if you are in Australia, the Dell Vostros are offered are at great prices (almost same as Canadian prices). I own the previous generation Vostro 1500 and am really happy with it -- performance, build quality and value for money. Plus the complete care upgrade price is peanuts compared to what Lenovo charges.
