Last time , I saw there were 20% off the batteries and I thought the discounts will be offered weekly or monthly.
    But I 'm totally wrong. :( :( :(

It has been 1 and half month, no more discount with the batteries.

I rarely see a sale on either battery or HDD, so if you see one, you should jump on it immediately. However, there are quite a few places that sell genuine Lenovo batteries for a little bit cheaper than directly from Lenovo.

Buy elsewhere. It's probably cheaper anyway. I think I paid $90 for my nine-cell last year.

I've thought about OEM batteries a lot.

Generic batteries on eBay, even those using Japanese cells, cost less than half of an OEM battery. In other words, a generic battery could last only half as long as an OEM battery (which is manufactured by a third party anyway) and you'd be no worse off than if you would have purchased an OEM battery. Also consider that a generic battery, even if it doesn't last as long as an OEM battery, may outlive the amount of time that you have your notebook before you upgrade to a newer model. Incidentally, I'd rather sink $100 into a new model notebook purchase than an OEM battery for a last-gen notebook.

Well even if there are japanese cells you usually don't have much recourse if cells go bad after your initial purchase. Also safety factor of poorly qced products.

I've had good luck buying batteries from CalCellular.

The prices are reasonable and the quality is just as good as direct from Lenovo.

They have a pretty good selection, but don't have any batteries for the x200 or w700 (yet). Note that the T400/T500 use the same batteries as the T61 wide of the equivalent inch rating.

I already took a look of ebay, the non-genuine one only has about 10%-20% different from genuine one from X300.

But there is also more than 20% hazard.

I rather wait a little bit longer for an extra battery

But thanks for all the replies
