I've spilt Orangina on the right side of my Ideapad U260. It's dried, but the solidified sugary liquid has jammed the keys, meaning they're bloody hard to push down. To say I'm annoyed would be underestimating the gravity of the situation.
How can I fix the problem folks?

Sorry to hear about this.
You could disassemble your system and wash affected parts with alcohol.
Let them dry and reassemble. -
The problem is ,that the U260 is not easily disassemable. The screws on the back are not regular but torque ( I think). I had a T410 Thinkpad before, and the was very easy to change the keyboard. This is much more "self-contained."
Should I try to detach the keys while they're still on the board?

There's a high chance you'll break at least one key, I don't recommend this. Plus, you won't be able to clean it properly while assembled.
Just get the proper size torx screwdriver.
If you don't feel comfortable opening it yourself, take it to a reputable computer shop.
I had an accident with my Ideapad U260
