I need to choose between the T42 2373-JXU and the T42-2373-3UU. They are both the same price, but I'm not sure which I should go with. Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks a lot

edit: If anyone knows of a 15" Express model, please let me know (similar to the 2378 FVU)

Hi Vasant56, I would go with the JXU with the 15" flexview. The display has a much wider viewing angle and the case on the backside of the LCD is very solid feel to it. Before changing my mind and going with the 15" I compared a 15" with a 14" at work and the 14" had a much shallower viewing angle and the top cover was really flexible(seemed strange for a thinkpad). I've also read this in the forums over at www.thinkpads.com

What price did you find for them and from where?
Another option if you decide on the 15" is to look at the 2378-DXU.
The difference between it and the JXU is that the DXU has a 60GB 7200 rpm hard drive along with the blutooth option. It only has a 1 year warranty, but I'm ok with that cause for most electronics, if it makes it the 1st month or two it will usually last 3-5 years.

    I bought my 2378-DXU from www.mwave.com for $2198

Bill Morrow said that he would give me a jXU for around 2300 and a dxu for around 2200. I'm worried about portability, and the size of the screen. I have nowhere to really check to see what a 14.1 SXGA+ is really like

    Thanks.

    Oh, BTW.

If you could go with the JXU and the DXU, which would you go for?
