I purchased a ThinkPad T61 on Ebay from thinkpad usa. 2.0GHZ, 4mb cache, 100 GB 7200 drive, 1.0GB RAM, 14.1 wide screen 1280x800, NVIDIA, Bluetooth, fingerprint, 3 year Lenovo Depot Warranty for $1099.00. Seemed like a fair deal. Also, XP Pro!

I always wanted one of these, and will be selling my new Dell D630 to help pay.

I think it is the pure business impression this machine gives as well as the rep for quality, the MAG frame, and they famous keyboard, and... the keyboard light that swayed me :)

I look forward to the Lenove/IBM forum. Thanks for listening, Dave

Thanks. Looks like you are enjoying yours. I have always been about business. Not really a gamer. Games are fine, I just do not have time. I do Ebay when I want some sport :) I also remembered that I have a 2GB RAM chip that is going to go right into this. So, I am hoping this machine will be an indication to my clients that I KNOW my business, and when you need a laptop to perform, as opposed to having the latest bells and whistles they will never use, the should buy Lenove and pay me to set it up. It also addressses the security issue which is not important. Until it is. And then it is VERY important.

I would really like to become a small time dealer on Ebay along the lines of ThinkPad USA, but not doing their volume, at least not until I could actually make a living at it :) They somehow seem to have an in with Lenovo the likes of which I cannot figure out. Now I am excited. It will be here early next week. Dave
