So a few days ago I was walking from one building to another, and I hit my R60e against a metal door frame really hard (I was carrying a lot of things). I had it open because I was going to be doing something on it shortly, and luckily the only thing that happened to it was a less than one millimeter deep imprint on the right edge of the palmrest. I'll take a picture of it when I can, I was really impressed.

when i used to have my T60 it was built so well i used to call it my thinktank. i miss that machine. such good build quality :(. even though i have a machine, i still have a savings put aside for a new 12 inch thinkpad for a work machine. i say maybe 3 months and i will have the joys of a thinkpad once again.

the graphics card and i5 combo won me over for roughly 800 usd. I felt for the hardware specs you get it was a good value. plus ive never owned an Acer machine.

I still want a thinkpad again though.

I've dropped my T61 a few times (once on a carpet from about 4 feet, and another time from about 3 feet on a wood floor). Not a single mark anywhere on the machine, and she still chugs along daily.

The worst my Thinkpad's been though is getting thrown onto a sofa... while in a sturdy ZeroShock sleeve in a laptop sling bag

I suppose one could say I don't take advantage of the Thinkpad's durability!

if it saves you once a year, it is a good year (Sorry Goodyear tyres for plagiarizing your marketing slogan).

Hah awesome. Gotta love these laptops

I dropped my laptop from around 4ft onto carpet as well.
Was taking inventory inside a storage closet at work and had to improvise a table using a few boxes. Asked my friend to keep the boxes balanced (all he had to do was keep a hand on the other side of the box) but he didnt.

Box tipped over and the laptop slid and landed on the back edge, not a mark.

Anyway, cant wait to see a picture lol.
