Well, I dropped it. It fell of my table...

Its not a major problem but the only damage the occurred was that the hd drive slot doesn't pop straight in anymore. It must be warped. Also the front strip where the headphone and mic jack is, to the right, is also warped. I may just have to leave this stuff though, although if there is a fix, I will go ahead a get it fixed.

Also, is it possible that the warranty would cover this?

    Thanks

You can call them and tell them that your palm rest or w/e is warped but might be a good idea to not tell them you dropped it.

This post sound very similar to another user with a warped T400 - thread.

If you have accidental warranty protection then you can call Lenovo to repair your laptop. Otherwise it's going to be difficult to convince Lenovo that the palmrest would "warp" on its own.

Sometimes the tabs on palmrest can be dislodged under certain pressure so try removing it and then click it back in. You can view the T400 hardware maintenance manual for reference - link. But if it doesn't feel flush then don't force it back in, you can try to buy a new palmrest if it's badly warped, possibly a new hard drive cover too on auction sites like eBay which tend to crop up a few spare parts for the T400.

Please post a picture of the damage.... no Lenovo is not going to cover it unless you got the Thinkvantage Protection Plan, which can be purchased within 90 days of initially purchasing it from Lenovo.

    That's incorrect. It's 30 days.
