well, if you need them, you can do a system restore, but frankly, I dont see any point to do a system restore just for the sake of SWTools folder.

IF you made a backup of your computer, you should be able to restore specific folders, AFAIR

well the problem is that I cant even do sys restore to factory-state because i dont have the swtools folder.. sys res just stops in the middle and asks me to restart, but when i restart, vista isnt installed and it says "bootmgr is missing" in a white font on a black background.. i havent done any backups so im totally screwed. btw.. i didnt even save my vista key and i do not intend to clean install...

Isn't your Vista key on the bottom of your X200?

I don't think you need tha folder. All the drivers and utility probgrams you could find on the lenovos website. Most of the thinkvantage software is not needed anyways, I use only a tiny part of it.

yeah, you surely can use that key under the notebook, but you'll need to get it activated. I'd suggest once you do a clean install and get it activated (probably by calling M$), create an image of Vista installation (checkout norton ghost), you can then skip that Vista activation next time.
