Every time I go into power manager and try to set the power manager to a custom power setting, it will revert to which ever predefined power setting was chosen last.

    For example:
Power setting is currently power source optimized
I go into power manager and chose a custom setting and hit apply
    I close power manager
I go back into power manager and the setting is back to power source optimized

What is going on!?!?!? Why can I not change this? Can anyone help me out??

Don't know if this will work but try creating another custom setting or try modifying one by changing the values and saving. I have experienced this as well on occasion.

Try powercfg /restoredefaultpolicies? on a command-line prompt. You should be able to see all properties restores, provided you have error reporting on automatic in administrative properties.

Admins, I don't want to re-post, but is it possible to have this thread moved to Windows OS and software? Maybe I can get an answer there.
