2 days ago I was restoring my computer (T61p) to a previous state via the Rejovinate system button on the ThinkVantage menu. Everying was running smoothly...then it died. (Not sure what happened my battery may of died but I was plugged in to the AC adapter at the time).

I powered it back up and got a message about some part of Windows not being found (this particualir message has stop appearing so I can not go into more detail on it sorry) then it send me into the Rescue and Recovery screen. I have tried all of the options under the "restore your system" menu and nothing has worked.

I am currently writing this post via the "open browser" button in the R&R screen.

When I reboot it brings me back to the RR screen. Is there anyway I can fix this?

    Some further details:
I am almost certain that I do not have a recovery disk. I have figured out how to get to the command prompt but whenever I try to cd to the C: drive it says "this drive is not yet ready". I have spent the last day or so trawling the net for possible soultions but I haven't found anything yet, mostly becasue all the other computers I have access to can not burn disk images. (is there a way to do this form the RR area?)

    Help would be greatly appreatiated.

I would order recovery CD's from Lenovo. I ordered mine and got them within a few business days.

If you call them they may send you a set given Rescue and Recovery failed.

That's what happened to me what I first tried to recover with hard drive partition. I think that seems to be the problem for other Lenovo based laptops too. Everything was running smooth and it says it completed the installation then it rebooted itself.. then it died, same as your situation.

I had no problem when I factory installed using recovery discs.
