    I have a X60s and always want a T.

Just tried my friend's new T61. can't really lift it with one hand at a corner.

I hope Lenovo makes X with higher resolution.

I debated this over and over again with myself, but in the end, i just found the higher resolution and optical drive to important to me to lose. I love the X series though, and in the future I will definitely be buying one.

I don't think that they'll have it for the Thinkpad line. On their consumer versions they do have one... although I can't remember the model name. If Lenovo were to come up with the 13" Thinkpad, I think it would either be the following:

    1) A lost child in the Thinkpad lineup
    2) It would kill of either or both the X and T/R series 14"

    Cheers,
    Nick

The only reason I chose T over X is the optical drive.
Btw when I saw this thread I thought someone had a settlement with his ex :D

Some like myself don't need a ton of mobility and prefer a higher resolution screen. That said a X series with a 1440x900 screen would be killer. They do offer SXGA+ on the X61t. Hope you're eating your carrots.

I bought this T61 for college and will be a freshman. However, in two years, I intend to give this to my mom and switch over to the X series.

They already have one in the 3000 series, It's a 3000 V100 0763-2LU available from Microcenter.

I owned one for a month. It's not ultraportable.

isn't XGA enough on a 12"? I think anything higher would be too much and make everything way too small

It's a personal preference. I used to think that about SXGA+ on a 14", but now it seems normal to me.

Sorry to sidetrack..but i have a wxga+ on a 15.4 inch and seem to think that the text is kind of small..and also that the notebook is pretty large for my specificities.

Therefore, I ordered a 14" wxga....not the + because they don't have that available currently.

May I please ask what your opinions are on a 14" wxga (no plus)? Thanks

There's always HP models which come with a pointing stick.
