    hi hoping someone can help me.
    I have a T400 I just recently purchased running vista basic.

    I was exploring the computer and I accidently removed the recording device and can't find a way to get it back. i tried to use audacity and it doesn't recognize any recording device. Is there any way to get it back or do I have to reinstall? Thanks for your help.

    Thanks for your help guys. I updated through thinkvantage but nothing so I did a system restore and it worked. The internal recording device is showing up again.
