How well does ZeroShock III 14" fit a T61 14" WS?

Hi. I'm contemplating between the Sumdex ImpactGuard 13" and the ZeroShock III for a T61 with 14" widescreen. It seems from the dimension of the ImpactGuard, the sleeve will provide a snug fit but since it's a top loader, will require more effort in extracting the T61. On the other hand, the ZeroShock III's specification says one side is greater by 1" but the sleeve can be fully unzipped. Does anyone have the ZeroShock III with a 14" widescreen and found there's too much wiggle when zipped inside?

    Thanks.

    Bump.
Anyone has experience? I am thinking about the ZeroShock, I'd like to know how a widescreen T61 14" would fit?

I have one for my new T400 and it fits perfectly. There's no wiggle for me whatsoever while it's in the sleeve. I have the 4 cell battery and 3 cell ultrabay, which sits in the zippered pocket. My girlfriend's 14" Fullscreen T60 also fits nicely in it with the 6 cell battery.

pdotngo, do you think a T400 with a 9 cell would fit?

This is good news because I ordered a Zeroshock III for my T400 last night. :) I've been using a 12" Zeroshock sleeve for my old laptop for 4 years now, and I've been very happy with it.

I think a T400 with the 9 cell battery would fit, but it would be very tight. I rolled up a magazine to be about 1.5" thick and threw it in the case with my notebook to see if it would work. It fits, but it's very tight.

How is ZeroShock III different from regular sleeve? Does it supposed to have better protection?

Regular sleeves are made of neoprene. This material is very sponge-like and does not absorb much shock. The zeroshock uses a high quality memory foam that absorbs a ton of shock.

You can also find them on Ebay. Shinza was out of stock on the 14" when I last checked.

I purchased mine at User's Side in San Jose, CA. This place has a bunch of zeroshock sleeves for the people in the bay area that want to test out the sleeve first.

I was hoping the T61 14" WS with a 9 cell battery would fit, but it sounds like it won't :-(.

I use a shinza for all my notebooks. I dont think their is a better sleeve type case out there. I have about 5 of them and dont regret it. The only problem with the quality is the zipper pulls. The zippers themselves are great, but the pullers almost all have broken and I just replace them with keyrings. I have an R61 with a 14" Zeroshock III and a 6 cell battery that extends out pretty far. The laptop fits perfectly snug in the case. The T series is a bit smaller so should work fine as with an extended battery.

I get all mine from the one store on Ebay, somewhere out of Texas I think.

I have a 14" Zeroshock III for my T400 with a 6 cell battery. It fits very well but I wouldn't recommend getting it for anything larger. www.shinza.com

I received my 14" Zeroshock III sleeve today. It fits my T400 with the 6-cell battery very well; the laptop does not move at all within the case when it is zipped. I'm happy with it for my machine, but I also wouldn't recommend it for anything larger.
