I just bought a new old stock Z61M that came with 1-year warranty. It was made in Feb 2007 and the online warranty status check shows the warranty will end in Feb 2008. How do I update the warranty to reflect my actual date of purchase vs the date of manufacture in the system? Thanks!

You probably will need to contact Levono about it, and provide a sales receipt. Of course, they might just instead offer you an extended warranty...so good luck.

I also have an issue (good one), My T61 just shipped and when I look up the Warranty info it says the warranty is good through 8/17/2010!!

i did not buy an extended warranty...I made a screen shot of the page...Do you think this will "stick"

Here's the detail from warranty "fine print":
    What this Warranty Covers
Lenovo warrants that each hardware product is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. The warranty period for the product starts on the original date of purchase specified on your invoice unless Lenovo informs you otherwise in writing. The warranty period and type of warranty service that apply to your product are designated below under the section titled “Warranty Information.”
