    nLite works quite well. There's lots of customization options.

    Another vote for nLite. I used it when I did a clean install on my desktop a few months back. You can slipstream service packs, hotfixes, device drivers, disable services, tweak options, and set unattended install options.

    But I want to use the TP RnR to install the fix or patches NOT fresh install

    to tell you the truth, my old Dell laptop (6 yrs old if it's a day) wanted to upgrade from XP sp2 to XP sp3 yesterday. After I told it 'yes,' all I had to do was click a couple of 'next' or 'ok' buttons and left the office. I called my partner to ask her to allow it to restart when it was done before she left the office. She clicked 'restart' and collected her coat and stuff and simply shut it down when it had fully booted.

    The point? I'm not so sure you have to do much when you upgraded from XP sp2 to sp3. It's pretty much unattended in its natural state.
