    I am configuring my 15.4'' T61...

In the last hour I was looking for the way to turn it off, but got nowhere.

    Can somebody help?

    Thanks!

Right click on the windows taskbar, go to properties and Notifications (I think, I'm at work right now) and you will see one for either power, battery or battery meter, uncheck. The screen also have volume and network boxes to check and uncheck.

You cannot just right-click on it and turn off the display of the icon?

I don't believe so, but I am not on my lappy so I can't verify that, using the xp desktop at work. I have always used the posted method, though it could be possible. Nice avatar by the way. =)
