I just recieved my t500 with LED backlight. The brightness seems a little off and I can't find anything in device manager to confirm the panel type. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the tip. Looks like it's LED.

    Monitor\LEN4057 ; 15.4" WideXGA LED B/L

Battery life seems to confirm this.

On a side note, contrast is pretty terrible. Random flickering issues when scrolling through webpages and sometimes isolated to animated elements. Trying to determine if it's a switchable graphics or Internet Explorer issue.

I hate to say this but it's not an InternetExplorer issue.

Some LED backlights can cause a flicker as they pulse off and on faster and slower to make the screen getting lighter and darker.

The higher the brightness the less flickering you will normally see, the flickering can give some sensitive people headaches or make them ill.

You might be able to get the manufacturer to replace the panel.

I have heard that a higher refresh rate 70htz instead of the standard 60htz, can make the problem go away, but how true this is i do not know.
