This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     The old thread was closed and the link to the IBM we site no longer works?
    I have a T400 without machine type in the BIOS which kills system update.
    Anyone with a link or bootable image of Thinkpad Hardware Maintenance Diskette version 1.75 or later please email it to (email removed) or provide a link! :)

    the service disk image is a lenovo confidential tool and only supposed to be in the hands of official service providers.   you'll have to find another means of acquiring it than requesting it on NBR.
