New T520, just getting it setup. I've been running the Windows Experience Index on it occasionally as I update drivers and so forth, and after getting all updates installed (all Windows updates and most of the suggested Lenovo updates), I found that my WEI graphics score plummeted from 6.5 to 4.6.

I tried going through updates and removing them but couldn't find the culprit. I'm reinstalling the OS now.

Clearly something I installed screwed up the performance, but I dont' know what. What's the typical approach for these things? (I'm coming from the Macbook Pro world). Do you usually just install all Lenovo updates? All Microsoft updates? Go to hardware manufacturers and get their drivers instead?

Also, is there any way to remove Lenovo updates? Some seem to show up in add/remove programs, but not all. And the Lenovo tool doesn't support removal.
