    How to know the maker of the LCD

    How can I know if the maker of the x61s LCD display is Samsung, LG, or others? FRU 42T0435. Can't find info.

    It's a BOE-Hydis.

    X61s, not X61t. There's two types of panel used in X61s, TMD and Samsung.

    I was basing my info on the ThinkWiki page. According to it, 42T0435 is a BOE-Hydis panel.

    Hmm, I see. I thought BOE-Hydis doesn't make 12.1" TN panel, but I was apparently wrong. Thanks for the link.

    According to the service parts page, Hydis is one of four screens used in the X60 or X61.

    All TN screens are about average. There's no significant different between them. Don't worry about it.
