I have a 37" sharp aquos and I will be watching many tv shows that I miss through my computer. I want to purchase the t-series but I have yet to find a solution to this problem. My sharp aqous doesn't have a VGA input...what have you t60 owners done?

I know their are VGA to component cables like these:
    http://www.national-tech.com/catalog/vgatorcacomponentvideocable.htm

But it says not for computer use at the end of the description for these cables.

Also, is it a bad idea to get the intel GMA 950 as the graphics card if i'm going to be hooking it up to a 37" lcd. I'm not going to be gaming on it at all and it'll mainly be used for school.

How much is your resolution ? I don't think that a VGA-cable can handle resolutions as high as the DVI one's.

The ThinkPad Advanced Mini Dock has a DVI Port. In the specifications it says max.1600 x 1200. I never used it for a resolution above 1280x1050 so cant say anything about that.

the resolution of the set is 1366x768....It's not a 1080P set...Its native resolution is 720P. Thing is the set doesn't have dvi ports either it has 2 HDMI's that are being used.

Those cables won't work I don't think. The only thing that will as far as I know is that last item on the link you posted, but it will cost you. You'll need a converter which will run in the hundreds if you want to be able to go VGA -> Component.
